PlusDental completed a €32 million funding round led by Ping An Global Voyager Fund.

PlusDental, a Berlin, Germany-based telemedicine company, announced that it completed a series C funding round of €32 million ($35M).

The money was raised from new and existing investors, including Ping An Global Voyager Fund from Hong Kong, HV Ventures and Lakestar as well as angel investor Christian Wegner.

PlusDental, founded in 2017 as Sunshine Smile and led by CEO Peter Baumgart, was initially an ecommerce operation for selling sets of transparent splints for teeth straightening - customers were to make an imprint of their teeth at home, send it back, and receive a tailor-made set of splints. The company now works with more than 70 partners across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Great Britain, and Spain providing checkups and remote appointments.
