Pointsharp was acquired by Main Capital from the Netherlands.

Pointsharp, a Stockholm, Sweden-based SAAS developer for authentication, announced that it was acquired by the private equity company Main Capital Partners.

The financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Pointsharp, founded in 2006 , develops B2B SAAS helping organizations to secure IT environments with a high-level of control for IT departments. The company's portfolio includes solutions for the Identity and Access Management market related to multifactor authentication, security gateway, user provisioning and password management.

Pointsharp has about 220 enterprise customers from verticals such as finance, governmental, and industrial. They include Volvo, NCC, Karolinska Institutet, Skandia and Audi.
