Polaris acquires a majority stake in Danish interior design company Menu A/S

Menu A/S, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based interior design company, announced getting into an agreement for selling 70% of the company's shares to Polaris Private Equity.

The transaction, which has the financial details undisclosed, was made between Polaris Private Equity IV K/S and Hansen family, the owner of Menu. Menu’s management team continues, and several key employees will co-invest in the company in partnership with Polaris.

Menu was established in 1978 and has repositioned the company since 2012, creating a strong interior design brand.

The company, which is led by CEO Bjarne Hansen, has transformed its product portfolio from solely catering to the retail segment by adding a range of furniture and lighting fixtures as well as modern accessories in the growing affordable luxury segment. Menu has 63 employess and delivers its products to clients from 40 countries.
