Polywork in a $13 million round backed by a16z.
Polywork, a London, UK and NY, USA-based startup building a social network, announced that it closed a Series A round at $13 million
The money was raised from investors led by Andreessen Horowitz (A16z), joined by investors including Bungalow Capital and 20VC and angels John Collison and Patrick Collison (Stripe founders), Instagram co-founder Mike Krieger, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, Product Hunt founder Ryan Hoover and GitHub CEO Nat Friedman. Existing investors Goldcrest Capital and Caffeinated Capital also contributed.
Polywork, founded in 2013 by CEO Peter Johnston, develops a social network that explicitly competes with Linkedin. It was launched in beta in April 2021 and previously raised $3.5 million in May 2021.
