PortalOne, an Oslo, Norway and San Francisco, USA-based developer of a hybrid gaming company, secured $60 million in series A equity financing round.

The money was raised from investors led by Tiger Global and joined by Scooter Braun’s TQ Ventures, Temasek, Avenir Growth, Founders Fund, Talis Capital, Connect Ventures, Animoca Brands, Access industries, and Coatue Management. The round included contributions from angel investors Matt Cohler, Rishi Garg, and Aleksander Larsen.

PortalOne, founded in 2018 by siblings Bård Anders Kasin and Stig Olav Kasin, is a hybrid games company, delivering live game experiences with stunning visuals and next level interactivity.

The company does that with a game engine technology designed for mixed reality content and combining game and live shows for providing an engaging gaming experience. On top of the two games they are running, they add live media content - be them live shows or live contests, with the objective is to build a social community around the game engine itself, making both interactive and addictive to watch.

PortalOne previously raised $15 million in seed in the spring of 2021 and was seeded in a few rounds by Founders Fund, a couple of Nordic early stage investors, and Coatue.

Total investments received (USD): 75M
