Prevayl in £7.5M funding round backed by Stonebridge.

Prevayl, a Manchester, UK-based startup manufacturing sportswear with embedded wearables traking biometric data, announced the completion of a £7.5M ($10.6M) funding round.

The money was raised from the local investors from the UK Stonebridge, led by James Cox, and will be used to further build production capabilities and business opportunities.

Prevayl, founded in 2019 by Adam Crofts (CEO) and David Newns, is working for the development of a connected clothing brand looking to empower consumers with their own biometric data, including heart rate zone and recovery, orthostatic heart rate, cardio age or heart functions. The hardware is a lightweight, wireless device that slots neatly and discreetly inside the garment.  A tiny LED light alerts the user to the battery life, which lasts for up to 24 hours.

The company expects to go to market in 2021.
