Productpine, an Amsterdam, Netherlands-based SAAS startup building a plug-and-play ecommerce marketplace for other online shops, announced completing a seed funding round closed at €2.5 million ($2.8M).

The money was raised from investors co-led by Acequia Capital and NFQ Capital, joined by TechFund One, Kaas Ventures and primeCROWD and angel investors Stefan van den Berg (founder of Afterpay), Kalo Bagijn (founder of BinckBank and Brand New Day), Patrick Andrä (founder of HomeToGo), Justin Hwa (Head of Commerce Innovations at eBay) and Arnoud Aalbersberg (founder of Care Plus).

Productpine, founded in 2019 by Camiel van Dooren, Vincent Hulshoff and Dimitar Maslarov, develped a SAAS-based online shopping marketplace that enables brands to launch their own shops as an extension of their direct-to-consumer channel, in order to sell products directly to consumers. The marketplace's features include generating additional traffic by referring consumers to Productpine’s platform by email or other (social) channels, or cross-selling through a smart recommendation engine.
