Qumata to raise $10 million Series A funding round led by MMC Ventures.

Qumata, a London, UK-based insurance company, announced that it completed a $10 million series A funding round.

The money was raised from investors led by London-based MMC Ventures, joined by AdirVentures and TMT Investments.

Part of the deal, the current board members Luca Schnettler, Etienne Bourdon, and Richard di Benedetto, will be joined by Oliver Richards, Partner at MMC Ventures and Barry Karfunkel, previously CEO at Nasdaq-listed National General Insurance, and now Founder of AdirVentures.

The company also announced chainging its name from HealthyHealth into Qumata.

Qumata, founded in 2017 by Etienne Bourdon and CEO Luca Schnettler, does insurance software, selling an API solution that is integrated by insurance companies across multiple distribution channels, ranging from tied agents to independent intermediaries and online channels. The solution allows life and health insurance applicants to share their digital health data instead of the time-consuming questionnaires or invasive medical exams.
