RavenPack announced $5 million in funding from Draper Esprit.
RavenPack, a Marbella, Spain-based big data analytics provider for financial services, announced the completion of a $5M capital investment round.
The funding was raised from Draper Esprit and it is aimed to fast-track RavenPack’s mission to transform the way investors gain insights from unstructured data. International investment banking firm EOC Partners acted as advisor to RavenPack on the transaction.
RavenPack, founded in 2003 and led by founder and CEO Armando Gonzalez, built software products allowing clients to enhance returns, reduce risk or increase efficiency by systematically incorporating the effects of public information in their models or workflows.
In conjunction with the funding, RavenPack announced the launch of a new platform for monitoring market-moving events, and surfacing insights by combining a wide variety of data sets, including stock prices, geopolitical events, newsflow, social media activity, payments data, weather, apps, and data from the internet of things.
