Redhill Games secured $11.4M from Makers Fund and Play Ventures.
Redhill Games, a Helsinki, Finland-based studio working for the development of a free-to-play PC game, announced that it secured $11.4M in an equity funding round.
The round was led by Makers Fund and Play Ventures and included money contribution from Kowloon Nights.
The money will be used to hire staff and further develop its first title, a tactical shooter game expected to be revealed in 2020.
Redhill Games, founded in 2018 by CEO Matias Myllyrinne, technical director Mikko Uromo, and development director Milos Jerabek, works for the development of a tactical shooter game, free-to-play, focused on co-op play, and which will use a games as a service business model.
The game is expected to be made publicly available in 2020, with gameplay tests already started in both Canada and Finland.
