Rendra, the Norwegian 3D software developer, to be acquired by Canadian JDM Technology Group

Rendra, a Lysaker, Norway-based provider of 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) collaboration software announced getting into an agreement for selling the company to Vancouver, Canada-based JDM Technology Group, a global group of leading software providers for the architecture, engineering and construction industries.

The financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed and Rendra will continue to operate as a separate company with its existing staff out of its Lysaker headquarters.

Rendra AS, founded in and led by CEO Kristin Omholt-Jensen, developed a platform named StreamBIM for 3D BIM collaboration throughout all stages of the construction project, from design, through construction, to as-built handover, and facilities maintenance. Users can access the latest 3D BIM model and drawings from the field, as well as document issues, and the as-built work completed.

The company was not profitable in 2016, having lost NOK 4.4M (560k) at a revenue figure of 2.7M (340k).
