Spacemaker adds Construct Venture as investor in the company, to enhace its AI-based solution for the use of land in property development.

Spacemaker, an Oslo, Norway-based company providing an AI-based software solution to optimize the use of land in property development, announced securing an undisclosed amount of investment from Construct Venture.

This is the first investment made by Construct Ventures, which is an NOK 80M investment fund set up by OBOS and AF Gruppen, two leading construction and housing companies in Scandinavia.

The funding was made as both OBOS and AF are customers of Spacemaker and have actively contributed in the testing phase of the product’s development.

Spacemaker, founded in 2016 and led by CEO Håvard Haukeland, developed an AI-based technology that discovers the smartest ways to maximize the value of any building site. The tool generates and explores billions of site proposals, sortsthem out and provide detailed statistics about each of them. The company works with clients including architects, real estate developers and municipalities.

Prior to this, Spacemaker secured capital investment from Norwegian angel investors including Ståle Løvbukten, Thomas Berglund and Trond Riiber Knudsen.
