Ridesum raised SEK 9 million in fresh funding provided by Zenith and Hööks
Ridesum, a Stockholm, Sweden-based startup developing a digital platform service connecting horseback riders, trainers and experts, completing a new capital funding round totalling SEK 9M ($1M).
Hööks CEO Joachim Höök will join the Board of Directors. The investment will be used to accelerate growth, expansion and continue to develop the product.
Ridesum, founded in 2018 by CEO Jenny Stråhle, Karin Lindell and Mateusz Dziurla, built a mobile app for accessing a database of horse trainers and experts, available for riders within a wide range of disciplines, skills and levels. The app provides access to live video training for a variety of situations, such as having a dressage or jumping lessons or receiving coaching from trainer during warm-up on competitions. Mental coaching is also available, as well as advice in how to feed your horse from an equine nutritionist through a video session.
The company is yet to produce revenue and says it has 20,000 users in more than 80 countries.
Ridesum previously raised $550k in 2019.
