Rovio Entertainment has acquired Darkfire Games - Copenhagen based mobile games studio

Darkfire Games, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based mobile gaming company, announced that it was acquired by Rovio Entertainment Corp.

Finanical details were not disclosed. Rovio acquired all of the outstanding shares of Darkfire Games on June 3, 2020, and the wholly-owned Rovio subsidiary will become Rovio Copenhagen. The Danish gaming house will continue to be run by former Darkfire Games director, Rune Vendler, who among other things can mention Lionhead Studios, Hapti.co, IO Interactive and Wargaming as companies on the CV.

Darkfire Games (formerly Wargaming Denmark), is a a free-to-play (F2P) mobile games studio focused on Role Playing Games (RPG).
