Safety Wing secures $8 million in a round led by Creandum.

Safety Wing, an Oslo, Norway-based insurance company, announced that it secured a $8 million series A funding round.

The money was raised from investors led by Creandum and included contributions from existing shareholders.

SafetyWing was founded in 2017 by Sondre Rasch (CEO), Sarah Beyahte Sandnes and Hans Nyvold Kjellby and provides insurance coverage for travellers. To date, the company has more than 10k customers from 175 countries.

Safety Wing previously raised about $4 million and opened an office in San Francisco as it was part of an Y Combinator in 2017.
