Samlino, Denmark’s largest financial comparison site, raises $22.5M from seasoned investors, Marcus Pincus and Peter Thiel among them
A global equity fund, Asia's richest family's money bin and one of Japan's biggest financial investors recently with two of the world's prominent tech entrepreneurs and three Danes shot 150 million kroner in the Danish comparison portal Samlino.dk.
Samlino.dk's mission is to change the Danish consumers' habits when buying financial services.
"We are looking at all services have a subscription-like conditions. That is insurance, where you pay a premium monthly or annually. Banks, where you pay interest. The telecom industry, where you pay for a subscription - such as broadband or mobile telephony. These are all industries that can be complex and difficult to comprehend, "said CEO and founder Kristian Pitzner-Jørgensen.
