Senorics, a Dresden, Germany-based developer of near-infrared spectroscopy sensors, announced the completion of €8M ($9.8M) in what they call a pre-series A funding round.

The money was raised from investors from Germany, led by Fidura and ZEISS Ventures. Existing shareholders Technologiegründerfonds Sachsen (TGFS) and TU Dresden Aktiengesellschaft (TUDAG) also contributed to the round.

Senorics, founded in 2017 by Karl Leo and Ronny Timmreck, is manufacturing and designing optical spectroscopic sensor solutions for industrial applications. The sensors can be used in a wide variety of solids and liquids environments, such as food, agricultural products, plastics, textiles or pharmaceuticals - they are very small, inexpensive, and spectral extremely powerful and robust against external influences such as vibrations.
