Sensio announced the acquisition of Vestfield Audio

Sensio, an Oslo, Norway-based software provider for the care tech and smart home markets, announced that it acquired Vestfold Audio, also based in Norway, in Sandefjord.

Following the deal, the company will be the leading supplier of welfare technology to Norwegian municipalities and to users through the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration. The two companies have around 75 employees located in Oslo and Sandefjord with revenues of approximately NOK150 million ($17M).

Vestfold Audio, founded in 1985, is a provider of alerting systems for people with hearing impairment and cognitive challenges, and of high-quality sound systems for classrooms.

Sensio, founded in 2009 and led by CEO William Holm, is a provider of welfare technology solutions to public institutions and personal safety alarms and home automation to the residential market. The company works with over 160 municipalities and 10,000 smart house installations and has 50 employees based in the headquarters from Oslo, and in two other branches in Stavanger and Larvik.
