Sento secured €9 million in a seed funding round led by US-based VC Insight Partners.

Sento, a Munich, Germany-based SAAS developer, secured a seed funding round closed at €9 million ($9.5M).

The money was raised from investors led by US-based VC Insight Partners, joined by Discovery Ventures (operated by angel investors Jan Deepen and Stefan Jeschonnek, co-founders of SumUp), and by existing shareholders Picus Capital, the founders of Celonis, Zalando, Checkout.com (via Zinal Growth), and Operator Partners.

Sento, founded in 2020 by Lucian Riediger (CEO), Felix Krauth and Nimar Blume, developed a cloud-based EDI platform for the supply chain, providing access to automated data and document transfer via a single canonical API. The company is currently focusing on the food sector in Germany and says it processes several million euros of sales each month as it works with customers including vly, KoRo, and Oatsome.

This is the third investment round closed by the company, as it initially announced closing a pre-seed deal led by in the spring of 2021 and extended it at the end of 2021.
