SeQura is a Spanish clone for Klarna with Swedish founders and now with undisclosed funding from Optimizer Invest. To date the company raised 3M euro
Sequra, a Barcelona, Spain and Swedish-founded companyspecialized in payment solutions for e-commerce, announced that it raised capital investment of roughly EUR 3M ($3.4M).
The funding was provided by Optimizer Invest.
Sequra S.L., founded in 2014 by the Swede David Bäckström, aims to become a Klarna clone, and provide the Spanish merchants and consumers with a technical solution that allowes payments by invoice.
The company's services are in use by around 250 merchants, including fashion giants La Redoute and Modalia, backed by 30 empoyees located in the head office in Barcelona.
Optimizer Invest made its first investment in Sequra in 2015, and will now support with additional funds.
