ShardSecure in a $2.5 million round backed by Epic Ventures, Industrifonden and Tom Noonan.

ShardSecure, a STockholm, Sweden and New York, USA-based developer of cybersecurity products, announced completing a financing round of $2.5 million.

The money was raised from American investors from Epic Ventures, joind by Industrifonden and angel investor Tom Noonan.

ShardSecure, founded in 2019 by CEO Bob Lam, Christer Roslund, Jesper Tohmo and Louis Steinberg, is a data security company developing the Microshard technology, used in order to breaking data into single-digit bytes and distributing across cloud locations without sacrificing performance. Its production customers include some of the world’s largest companies in technology and investment management, with deployments in biotech and commercial banking as well. The company has headquarters in the USA and handles the engineering from an office in Stockholm.

ShardSecure previously raised $2 million at the end of 2019.
