Shopit raises SEK 3.3M to launch an universal shopping engine.

Shopit, a Växjö, Sweden-based startup working on a ecommerce search engine, raised SEK 3.3M ($380k) in external funding.

The money comes from local investors such as Peter Carlsson (of Pricerunner fame) and will be looking for a larger round as soon as the company will launch its product.

Shopit was founded in 2012 by Mathias Axlén, who has been working for launching an universal search engine for shopping for the past five years. The product indexes over 50000 product categories and is planned to be launched by end of summer 2017.
