Simple Feast secured SEK 96 million from Kinnevik

Simple Feast, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based food company, announced that it completed a capital funding round totalling SEK 96M ($10.9M).

The money was solely raised from Investment AB Kinnevik from Sweden, which made the papers officials in the last quarter of 2020.

The investment will primarily be used to helps Simple Feast's growing its market share in Sweden, as well as in research on new products and packaging.

Simple Feast, founded at the end of 2014 by CEO Jakob Jønck Nordenhof and Thomas Stilling Ambus, built a business on a subscription-based delivery service for ready-made food, made out of organic plant-based ingredients.

Simple Feast previously raised almost $50 million, last round in 2019, with investors including Balderton, byFounders, 14W or Sweet Capital.
