Skin Analytics completes a £4 million Series A funding round led by Hoxton Ventures, with participation from Nesta and Mustard Seed Ventures.
Skin Analytics, a London, UK-based software starup using software for skin cancer screening, announced that it raised a £4 million ($5.2M) Series A funding round.
The round was led by the British VC Hoxton Ventures and included contributions from Mustard Seed and Nesta Impact Imvestments.
Money will be used to expand the business in the US and consolidate market position in the UK.
Skin Analytics, founded in 2012 by CEO Neil Daly, developed a software solution using advanced imaging algorithms to help detect skin cancer. The tech was made in collaboration with leading academics at Cambridge University, health researchers and expert dermatologists and can assist in the early detection of melanoma via a CE marked medical device able to identify skin cancers, pre-cancerous and benign lesions to the same level as a dermatologist.
Prior to this round, in 2018, Skin Analytics raised £1M ($1.3M) from Bristol Private Equity Club, RYSE Asset Management and Triple Point Ventures.
