Skooler was acquired by Conexus

Skooler, an Oslo, Norway-based education company developer of learning technology, announced that it was acquired by Conexus, a Drammen, Norway-based company providing digital learning platforms for schools.

Financial details were not disclosed.

Skooler, led by CEO Tor Ove Henriksen, CEO, is a supplier of learning technology for primary and secondary education (K-12), supporting students in nine countries. Its tools are integrated with Microsoft Teams and Office 365 and include Planning, Assignments, Assessments, Gradebook and solutions for Parent Communication and Involvement.

The company was backed by Viking Venture and Skeie Capital Investment and produced sales of NOK 13 million ($1.4M) in 2020.

Conexus, founded in 2001 and led by CEO Steinar Evensen, is a provider of digital learning platforms for the Norwegian school sector, used by thousands of schools and more than one million students worldwide.

The company’s solutions facilitate deeper learning among students, making it easier for them to gradually and over time develop their understanding of concepts and contexts within a subject, in addition to facilitating improved learning dialogues between teachers, students and parents.

Conexus is backed by Verdane Capital and produced sales of NOK 57 million ($6.3M) in 2020.
