Somali refugee from Sweden Mohamed Jimale launches Ari Farm, crowdfarming platform that helps you earn good profits from low risk livestock investment in Somalia via a mobile app
Now Ari farm built a getfarm outside Mogadishu where it employs nomads who lost their animals. Currently, four people work in the yard but the plan is to employ 20 people at full capacity.
"It is our pilot farm that we have built to test the idea. The goal is to build several farms around in Somalia forward, "he says.
The goal is thus to provide nomads a job they can, while contributing positively to the Somali economy. The goats are buying Ari farm by nomads at a price that is above the market price.
"If you buy a goat, it becomes your get altogether, and all considerations that it must be yours. When you get an opportunity to sell the kids are through the app to other customers, or existing livestock market in Somalia. Thus it is not only a fun and good thing, but it can also be a profitable investment for the purchaser of the goat, "he says.
According to Mohamed Jimale there is a great potential as the cattle market accounts for 40 percent of the Somali economy.
Ari farm makes money on every animal sales and takes a commission on all animals sold through the app. In addition, the company money by selling milk and other products from the animals.
