Sonarworks raised $6 million in a round led by Almaz Capital.
Sonarworks, a Riga, Latvia-based software developer of sound calibration software for headphones producers and music studios, announced completing a $6 million capital funding raise.
The money was raised from investors led by Almaz Capital and joined by Karma Ventures, Trind Ventures, Proks Capital, Smart Growth VC, Wiser Financial Advisors, and angel investors Cesar Lamschtein and Victor Yun.
Sonarworks, founded in 2012 by CEO Martins Popelis, developed a new sound processing technology able to improve the sound of speakers and headphones, without physically changing them. The company's product, SoundID, is a machine learning-based app that creates a customised sound profile determined through a simple hearing ability test. It says that the tech and the product are in use by more than 70000 music studios.
Sonarworks previously raised about $7.8 million.
