Sorare announced a €3.5 million seed extension round led by the US-based Cassius Family fund.
Sorare, a Paris, France-based startup operating a blockchain-enabled fantasy soccer platform, announced that it added a capital raise round of €3.5 million ($4.3M).
The money was raised from investors led by the US-based Cassius Family fund with Emmanuel Seugé and included contributions from the football player Gerard Piqué. This represents an addition to the €3.5 million seed round announced in the summer of 2020.
Sorare, founded in 2018 and led by CEO Nicolas Julia, uses the Ethereum blockchain for generating unique digital trading cards representing professional soccer players that can be traded by users.
