Spektral receives $2.8M in series A from US-based LiteCap and AMP Ventures.

Spektral, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based startup working on an image and video processor engine, announced raising $2.8M in series A funding.

The money comes from 2 venture capital companies based in the United States, LiteCap and AMP Ventures and will be used to enhance the company's work to further development of AI-powered green screen technology.

Spektral was founded in 2014 by Toke Jansen and Henrik Paltoft and was formerly known as CloudCutout. The company has been developing advanced technology based on state-of-the-art machine learning and computer vision techniques. Combining deep neural networks and spectral graph theory with the computing power of modern GPUs, their engine can process images and video from the camera in real-time (60 fps) directly on the device.

Prior to this investment, Spektral received EUR 500k ($556k) in seed investment from SEED Capital.
