Starmony in a SEK 30 million financing round backed by Brightly Ventures, Bonnier Ventures and Acecap

Starmony, a Stockholm, Sweden-based music startup, announced that got access to SEK 30 million ($3.5M) in capital funding.

The money was raised from investors including Brightly Ventures, Bonnier Ventures and Acecap, joined by music business veterans Jonas Siljemark (ex Warner Music) and Ola Håkansson (TEN Music Group). Existing shareholders Luminar Ventures, Max Ventures and Almi Invest also contributed to the round.

Starmony was founded in 2019 by Jan Nordlund (CEO), Daniel Zangger Borch and Mattias Sjölinder and works for the development of a software solution making it easy for music composers or producers to create music. The solution is an app that enables users to record themselves singing and based on the recording it will provide multiple full professional music productions that can be customized with all sorts of effects. The final track can then be distributed to music streaming services like Apple Music and Spotify from within the app.

The Starmony app is still in closed beta. The company previously was pre-seeded with $800k in 2020.
