SteelSeries, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based designer and manufacturer of gaming peripherals, announced that it entered into an investment agreement for selling a part of the company.
The deal, which has the financial details undisclosed, was made with China-based private equity company ClearVue Partners, together with Catterton Partners, a US based consumer focused private equity fund.
After the transaction, ClearVue and Catterton will have majority ownership of SteelSeries. ClearVue will work with SteelSeries and Catterton to leverage its brand, retail, and operating expertise to accelerate the company's growth and development on an international scale with a focus in China.
