SundhedsGruppen was acquired by AnaCap.

SundhedsGruppen, a Gedved, Denmark-based private health insurance provider, announced getting into an agreement for selling a majority equity stake to the UK-based private equity firm AnaCap.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The sellers are the founders of SunhedsGruppen, who will retain a minority stake in the company.

SundhedsGruppen A/S, founded in 2012 and led by CEO Kent Jensen, consists of Dansk Sundhedssikring A/S, a leading independent Danish private health insurance provider and of PrimaCare A/S a quality provider of healthcare networks.

The company works with medical clinics throughout Denmark and its proprietary technological platform facilitates accurate identification of optimal healthcare access as well as reporting, feedback and claims management respectively. The business currently provides insurance cover for approximately 250,000 individuals in Denmark, through a client list comprising several of the Nordics’ largest blue-chip companies.
