Supermetrics received a €3.5M investment round from OpenOcean to further expand its marketing analytics solution.
Supermetrics, a Helsinki, Finland-based business analytics software, announed closing a €3.5M ($4.14M) investment round. The money comes from OpenOcean and will be used to invest in expansion of the product, development of new products and to further grow the customer base.
Supermetrics, founded in 2013 by CEO Mikael Thuneberg, develops tools for simplifying business reporting. Specifically the company's SAAS services connect metrics extracted from Google Analytics, AdWords, Bing Ads, YouTube, Facebook and other sources into a single digital dashboard and in a simplified manner.
Mikael Thuneberg is known for writing scripts for fetching Google Analytics API data into Excel in 2009. After being mentioned in the official Google Analytics Blog as the #1 solution for accessing GA from Excel, Mikael decided to establish Supermetrics to develop and sell analytics tools.
The company is already established in the market, as in 2016 it recorded revenues of €1.6M ($1.9M) in 2016, a 151% yoy increase. Some of its customers include Warner Brothers, BBC, Unicef, and Rovio.
