Swappie closed €35.8 million in a series B round backed by Tesi, Lifeline Ventures, Reaktor Ventures and Inventure.

Swappie, a Helsinki, Finland-based operator of an online marketplace for buying and selling refurbished smartphones, announced the completion of a €35.8 million ($41M) in Series B funding round.

The backing was provided by TESI, and included funding from existing investors Lifeline Ventures, Reaktor Ventures, and Inventure.

The proceeds will be used to fuel the company's international growth ambitions, as it plans to launch in Germany, Ireland, Portugal and the Netherlands in the 2020 summer.

Swappie, founded in 2016 by Sami Marttinen (CEO) and Jiri Heinonen, built a digital marketplace for refurbished consumer electronics.

Prior to this round, Swappie raised $6 million.
