Swedish investor Peter Carlsson plans for a large-scale battery factory in Sweden.
Peter Carlsson has some fame for spending 4 years at Tesla as purchasing and logistics manager.
Now he returned in Sweden and intends to develop Northvolt (formerly SGF Energy), a large factory in order to supply Europe with electrical batteries. The investment for such a factory is estimated to be in the SEK 40bn range ($4.7bn)
Nevertheless, the plans are still early stage, as they involve a feasibility study developed with the support of Vinnova and the Swedish Energy Agency.
