Teatime Games is a new gaming startup from Iceland, freshly funded by David Helgason, David Wallerstein and Index Ventures.

Teatime Games, a Reykjavik, Iceland-based startup closed a $1.6M seed investment round.

The backers include the angel investors David Helgason and David Wallerstein as well as venture company Index Ventures. The money will be used for hiring the first employees and starting the actual product development.

Teatime Games was founded in 2017 by Jóhann Þ. Bergþórsson, Ýmir Örn Finnbogason Finnbogason and Thor Fridriksson, all of them ex-employees of Plain Vanilla.

Plain Vanilla is another gaming company from Iceland, authors of QuizUp, a trivia app sold to Glu Mobile For $1.2 Million at the end of 2016. David Helgason, one the investors in Teatime, also was an investor in Plain Vanilla.
