Tekyn secures €5.5 million from Otium Capital and bpifrance via the Tech & Touch fund.
Tekyn, a Lille, France-based textile manufacturer, announced completing a €5.5 million () capital funding round.
The money was raised evenly from Otium Capital and bpifrance via the Tech & Touch fund.
Tekyn, founded in Lille in 2017 by Donatien Mourmant and Pierre de Chanville, has developed a process which, via a digital platform, allows a textile contractor to split and adjust its production, to adapt to demand. In addition to the digital interface, the start-up has installed a robotic center in Saint-Denis, north of Paris, where around ten production lines cut and prepare fabric kits ready to be assembled. These are then sent to garment workshops in France and Europe.
Tekyn, which operates around forty garment workshops, a third of which are in France and the rest in Europe, already has around ten customers, including La Redoute, Promod, IKKS, Petit Bateau,
