TempOnline, an Åre, Sweden-based manufacturer of a smart wearable used for real-time monitoring of the temperature in refrigerators and freezers, announced securing a capital raise round of SEK 2M ($240k).

The money was raised from local investors including Bring Ventures and Tillväxtkassan, backed by a SEK 1M contribution made by Almi Invest. The proceeds will be used for marketing and sales.

TempOnline, founded in 2015 by CEO Jens Jensen, developed a tech system consisting of smart thermometers that are placed in the customer's refrigerators and freezers. They measure and log the temperature continuously in real time and if the temperature exceeds or falls below the set limits, alarms are sent via the mobile network. This leads to reduced food waste and thus cost savings as well as better security in terms of food quality.
