Cubris, a Copenhagen, Denmark-based  IT and engineering company specialised in developing and delivering solutions for railway operators for both passenger and freight, announced getting into an agreement for selling the company to the French Thales.

The financial details of the deal remain undisclosed.

Cubris, founded in 2008 and led by CEO Sune Edinger Gram, employs 15 people and became a market leader in Driver Advisory Systems for Main Line Rail customers, optimising train driving thanks to real-time information and decision-making by the driver.

The company helps railways operators’ big ambitions to address the growing needs of an increasingly train centric and automation oriented demand in railway signalling. Their Driver Advisory System product, called GreenSpeed, is already in service in Denmark (DSB and Lokaltog), in the UK (South West Trains) and in Sweden (Transdev) and being implemented by Transdev in Germany and by Finnish Railway (VR).
