The Future Group secured NOK 50M to save itself from bankruptcy

The Future Group, an Oslo, Norway-based company, raised NOK 50M ($6.4M) in funding to save the company from bankruptcy. The money was secured from a range of existing investors and employees and will be used to keep the company afloat.

The Future Group, founded in 2013 by Jens Petter Høili and Bård Anders Kasin, developed a highly-scalable 3D visual effects platform. The platofrm can be used for development production that can instantly create both live photo-realistic effects and virtual sets that are seamlessly integrated with anything or anyone from the real world to create the first true IMR content.

The Future Group is heavily backed by investors, having raised almost $30M. Backers include Eltek Holding, Epic Games, Ferd Capital and Wellstreet.
