Tinybird raised a $37 million Series A round led by CRV and Singular Ventures.
Tinybird, a Madrid, Spain-based analytics SAAS startup, raised $37 million in series A equity funding round.
The money was raised from investors led by CRV and Singular Ventures, joined by Crane Venture Partners and by Datadog’s Chief Product Officer Amit Agarwal.
Tinybird, founded in 2019 by CEO Jorge Gomez Sancha, Javi Santana, Javier Medina and Raul Ochoa, developed a platform for the development of analytics APIs deployed very fast. The product offers SQL-based API endpoints that help data teams deliver real-time answers, with features including built-in integration, database connection, etc. It also provides integration over Snowflake, Apache Kafka, MySQL, Google BigQuery, etc.
The company recently moved its HQ from Madrid to New York and previously raised $3 million in a seed round in 2021 which was backed by multiple angel investors including Nat Friedman (GitHub CEO), Nicholas Dessaigne (Algolia co-founder), Guillermo Rauch (Vercel CEO), Jason Warner (GitHub CTO), Adam Gross (former Heroku CEO), Stijn Christiaens (co-founder and CTO of Collibra), Matias Woloski (co-founder and CTO of Auth0) and Carsten Thoma (Hybris co-founder).
