Toornament in a €2.5M round backed by Trust Esport and Webedia.
Toornament, a Paris, France-based esports tournament management software developer, announced securing a €2.5M ($3M) funding round.
The money was raised from the French esports venture capital fund Trust Esport, joined by existing owners from Webedia.
Toornament, founded in 2015 by founded by Antione Frankart, Olivier Paradis (CEO), and Matthieu Dallon (also founder at Trust Esport), developed a a SaaS solution for organizing e-sport tournaments. In 2016, Toornament’s original parent company Oxent was acquired by Webedia. Last year, Toornament recorded its biggest year so far as the platform hosted more than 26K tournaments engaging over 1.1M players. Some of the company’s clients include Riot Games, Ubisoft, Microsoft, Bethesda, PGL Esports, Freaks 4U, and UMG.
