Traplight announced raising €8 million from EQT Ventures with participation from Play Ventures, Initial Capital and Heartcore Capital.
Traplight, a Tampere, Finland-based mobile game developer, announced the completion of a €8 million ($9M) capital funding raise.
The round was led by EQT Ventures with participation from Play Ventures and existing investors Initial Capital and Heartcore Capital.
The funds will be used to expand adoption of its new game, Battle Legion.
Traplight, founded in 2010 by Sami Kalliokoski, Jari Paananen and Riku Rakkola, is a mobile game studio that builds mid-core games. The company recently launched Battle Legion, a mobile mass battle multiplayer spectator game, available in beta on limited markets. Traplight has a team of 30.
