Trucksters, a Madrid, Spain-based freight transport operator, raised €6.3 million ($7.4M) series A round.

The money was raised from investors led by Kibo Ventures, joined by the German venture capital firm Amplifier, as well as Bonsai Partners.

Existing investor Sacha Michaud, co-founder of Glovo, also contributed and joins the firm as Non-Executive Chairman of the Board.

Proceeds will be used for international expansion and consolidate its three main European corridors, building its presence in Benelux, Germany, and Poland

Trucksters, founded in 2018 by Luis Bardají (CEO), Gabor Balogh and Ramón Castro, developed a SaaS platform for shippers, transportation companies and drivers, that solves important problems related to long-haul trucking routes. The company reduces long-distance trucking delivery times by up to 50% by allowing trucks to be continuously on the move through relays. It says it is used by more than 500 companies including Lesaffre and Damm, e-commerce giants such as Grupo Seur, and has moved more than 2,000 full truck loads (FTLs) in the past 12 months alone.

Trucksters previously raised €900k from The Valley Venture Capital and angel investors from Spain in 2020, out of a total of more than $2 million.
