Trucksters, a Madrid, Spain-based freight transport operator, raised €8 million ($8.8M) in what is dubbed a series A extension round.

The money was raised from investors led by Kibo Ventures, joined by the German venture capital firm Amplifier, Axel Springer & Porsche joint venture APX, Bonsai Partners, Big Sur Ventures, Metavallon VC and The Valley VC. The round included contributions from Sacha Michaud, cofounder of Glovo, Juan Urdiales, co-CEO of Jobandtalent, Carlos Severino (partner at EY), Ángel Mayoral (director of Oliver Wyman), Felipe Navío (co-CEO of Jobandtalent) and Telmo Pérez (director of innovation at Acciona)

The initial series A was announced and closed at €6.3 million in 2021.

Trucksters, founded in 2018 by Luis Bardají (CEO), Gabor Balogh and Ramón Castro, developed a SaaS platform for shippers, transportation companies and drivers, that solves important problems related to long-haul trucking routes. The company reduces long-distance trucking delivery times by up to 50% by allowing trucks to be continuously on the move through relays. It says it is used by more than 500 companies including Lesaffre and Damm, e-commerce giants such as Grupo Seur, and has moved more than 2,000 full truck loads (FTLs) in the past 12 months alone.

Prior to series A, Trucksters raised €900k from The Valley Venture Capital and angel investors from Spain in 2020, out of a total of more than $2 million.
