TrueCircle, a London, UK-based startup operating a marketplace for industrial waste, announced securing a pre-seed funding round closed at $5.5 million.

The money was raised from investors led by US-based Lowercarbon Capital, and joined by Passion Capital, Giant Ventures and firstminute Capital.

TrueCircle, founded in 2021 by Eamon Jubbawy and Rishi Stocker, developed a system of connected cameras and lights that uses software applying computer vision technology to the waste streams flowing through processing facilities. The end result is providing customers with real-time time flows of data on what’s passing through their plants - powering waste analytics and alerts. The company says that on top of its SAAS, it is building a marketplace to support waste processing facilities in selling the verified material they reclaim.
