Utopos Games announced a $1M capital investment round from byFounders and Sisu Game Ventures
Utopos Games, a Finnish new game development studio, announced that it secured $1 million in capital investment.
The funding round was led by byFounders, with additional participation from Sisu Game Ventures and angel investors. The money will be used for the development of the company's first title, Raivo.
Utopos Games was founded in 2019 by a team of game industry veterans led by CEO Jani Penttinen (based in Las Vegas, USA). The company is working on Raivo, a robot game whereas the player collects and trains a team of robots into fighters that will enter an online match against robots trained by other players around the world.
The intelligent robots of Raivo are based on UtopAI, an AI-based learning library designed for games and developed by Utopos Games. The game, which will be cross-platform, is expected to be released in 2020.
