Validio, a Stockholm, Sweden-based SaaS developer, raised $15 million in what the company dubs as seed equity round.

The money was raised from investors led by Lakestar and joined by J12 Ventures and angel investors including Denise Persson (CMO at Snowflake), Kevin Ryan (Co-founder at MongoDB), Emil Eifrem (CEO & Co-founder at Neo4j) and Mehdi Ghissassi (Head of Product at Deepmind).

Validio, founded in 2017 by Urban Eriksson, Emmanuel Chappat, Oliver Molander and CEO Patrik Liu Tran, developed a cloud-based solution for enterprise customers for real-time validation, monitoring and cleaning of big data. The Validio platform aims at directly eliminating bad data through monitoring, validation and cleaning of data in real time streams and batches.

Prior to this round, Validio raised an angel investment via a convertible note backed by Jakob Svärdström and Filip Stenholm., and a $1.4M round led by J12 Ventures in 2020.
