Vården.se secures SEK 50 million in a round backed by Bonnier Ventures.

Vården.se, a Stockholm, Sweden-based company operating a healthcare media business, announced raising a capital raise round of SEK 50 million ($5.8M).

The money was raised from investors including Bonnier Ventures, Peter Dahlberg, founder of Anicura and the early investors Luminar Ventures and Bonit Capital.

 Jonas von Hedenberg of Bonnier Ventures will also join the board of directors.

After the transaction, the founders Staffan Gustavsson and Marcus Boström will continue to be the largest owners, while Luminar, Bonit and Bonnier venture each have approximately 15% of the shares.

Vården.se, founded in 2012 by Martin Palm and CEO Staffan Gustavsson, developed a website aggregating information about the healthcare facilities from Sweden. The company's business model involves charging a fee to the heatlhcare instituions for advanced features.

Vården.se previously raised $900k in 2020.
