Varner buys Junkyard from the investment company Frankenius Equity.

Junkyard, a Trollhättan, Sweden-based fashion retailer, was acquired by the Norwegian family company Varner.

The financial details were not disclosed. The deal was made with the actual owner, Frankenius Equity, which was involved in the company since 2000.

Junkyard, founded in 2000 by Thomas Löfgren and led by CEO Ted Boman, started as a small skate shop and has since then has become one of Scandinavia's largest online store for street fashion. In 2018, the company had sales of about SEK 335 million ($36M).

Varner is is one of Northern Europe's largest fashion groups, privately owned family business started by Frank Varner in 1962. The company is now owned by second and third generation, and is led by Petter, Marius and Joakim Varner.
